The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty review: Winks, wanderlust and Walter

Walter is just a normal guy. But that's just it, he's JUST a normal guy. Whilst other people have interesting anecdotes to tell at work or quippy one-liners on their eHarmony accounts, Walter relies on his ever-so-frequent daydreams to make his life that bit more exciting. But when some confusion at his job as a negative asset manager (fancy speak for picture guy!) at Life magazine has him travelling the world in search of a lost photograph, it's not just the misplaced picture he finds along the way.

Despicable Me 2 review: Guess who's back?

Simply put, if you liked the first Despicable Me, you’re going to love the second one! Practically all that audiences loved in the first instalment is present in the sequel; Gru’s cringe-worthy villainy, cute little Agnes and lots upon lots of minions.

Set some time on from the previous film, Gru is now completely content in the role of doting daddy rather than diabolic baddie, using his minions to produce jams rather than evil plans! But when the Anti-Villain League (AVL) approaches him, asking for his help catching a new bad-guy threatening the world, he is tempted into the world of gadgets and gizmos once again.

Friends with Kids review: Bridesmaids revisited

Real life friends Westfeldt and Scott play the same on-screen

Featuring pretty much the whole cast of Bridesmaids; Friends With Kids is almost the grown-up version of the hilarious chick-flick. Two best friends, Jason (Adam Scott) and Julie (Jennifer Westfeldt) decide to take out all the stress from a romantic relationship with children, by having a kid together whilst remaining completely platonic.

The pair’s theory is that by having a child between them as buddies, they therefore skip all the tiredness, all the arguing and all the lack of sex, which you would usually get in a relationship but still get to have a kid, with the added bonus of being able to look for “the perfect person” on the side.

Saturday Night Live is back with it's 38th season!

One of my favourite shows starts again tonight, SNL (11.30pm EST, NBC) and the first of the season kicks off with cartoon-God Seth MacFarlane and musical guest Frank Ocean.

While personally, I'm not a huge fan of MacFarlane, who is best known as the brains behind Family Guy, American Dad and recent movie release, Ted, I don't have any doubts that they will make the season premiere a good episode.
