Saturday Night Live is back with it's 38th season!

One of my favourite shows starts again tonight, SNL (11.30pm EST, NBC) and the first of the season kicks off with cartoon-God Seth MacFarlane and musical guest Frank Ocean.

While personally, I'm not a huge fan of MacFarlane, who is best known as the brains behind Family Guy, American Dad and recent movie release, Ted, I don't have any doubts that they will make the season premiere a good episode.


With the departure of Kristen Wiig and Andy Samberg at the end of the last series though, I am intrigued to see how the cast will fare (as Kristen was by far my favourite cast member) and whether any new characters will have been created during the break to fill the ones Wiig and Samberg legendarily embodied. There are some new members in the roster it seems, so look out for the fresh faces of Cecily Strong and Tim Robinson!

NBC has announced the next two hosts of the series; The Dark Knight Rises' Joseph Gordon Levitt will be host his second show on the 22nd (with musical guest Mumford & Sons, and Daniel Craig is opposite band Muse on October 6th. I must say, I'm more looking forward to those episodes!
