What we are all excited for in the upcoming months of film!

I don't know if it is just my opinion and some may disagree, but this last part of the summer has consisted of what I like to call 'blah movies'. They're not necessarily bad, but they're certainly not brilliant and it's time filmmakers upped the ante a little!

Now, Total Recall, The Bourne Legacy and The Watch passed the time if you had a couple of hours spare on a drizzly day (we've had enough of them this "summer") but we want to get back to movies that actually pack some punch. Autumn season is normally renowned for having a few gems amongst the mix, and this one seems no exception to the rule.

Anna Karenina boasts a stylistic trailer, and seems like it won't disappoint.  Based on the Tolstoy epic, the love-story centres around a young Russian woman living in the 19th century, who enters into a life-changing affair with a wealthy Count.

Out September 7th

One that I have personal interest in is The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, the movie adaptation of Stephen Chbosky's novel. Being a lover of the book, I am both excited and nervous about how this story will transcend onto the big screen. It is such an intimate tale, and with the trailer presenting a surprisingly different tone to that of the novel, I'm intrigued. But I would certainly recommend Charlie's self-told coming-of-age anecdotes about finding friends and finding yourself along the way!

Out October 3rd

I think that it is safe to say, I am certainly not the only film fan eagerly anticipating Daniel Craig's third time playing Bond. The plot for Skyfall has been kept under wraps for so long, and even now, with the trailer released, we are not much wiser as to what the story actually is! All we know is Javier Bardem is the villain, Naomie Harris is a 'Bond Girl' and some of the drama involves discovering M's secretive past. But come on, it's James Bond, we were always going to go see it, no matter what the story. Visit the site if you're crazy for Bond - http://www.skyfall-movie.com/site/

Out October 26th

Other upcoming films to look out for are:
The Sweeney, Sept 12th
Looper, Sept 28th
Taken 2, Oct, 4th
Frankenweenie, Oct 17th
Pitch Perfect, Oct 19th
